Grain for river buoy

The large buoys along the river banks near Porto Velho indicate where the active grain ports operate, and should be a warning to other traffic on the Madeira river’s waterways to keep their distance. In the backdrop, the clandestine gold dredges are visible, and a constant worry to organised traffic on the Madeira – specially during the drought when the canal narrows and becomes shallow.
